Ann M. McCauley is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Trust Company Of Toledo, N.A. d/b/a Trust Company Family Offices (TCFO). TCFO is a federally regulated but locally controlled financial institution and multi-family office with offices in Holland and Findlay, Ohio. It provides family office, fiduciary, and investment services to a wide range of clients, to include large multi-generational families, institutions and non-profit organizations. TCFO currently has over $3.5 billion in assets under its fiduciary care.
Ann joined TCFO in October of 2015 to lead its administration team. During a multi-year leadership succession planning effort, Ann’s path changed when she was first named COO, later President/COO and then President/CEO in October of 2019. As President and CEO, Ann is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company, execution of the company’s long-term vision and strategy and the development of new business. She also oversees the company’s largest client relationships. At various times during her tenure with the company, Ann has served as chair and as a member of the company’s Risk Oversight and Trust Administration Committees, as well as the company’s Regulatory Compliance Officer.
Prior to joining TCFO, Ann was a Member of the Law Firm of Eastman & Smith. Ltd. and practiced in its Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law Section (March 2011 to September 2015). Her practice there focused primarily on estate planning, business transactions, and trust and estate administrations. Prior to joining Eastman, Ann was an Associate, and later a Senior Attorney, at the Law Firm of Watkins, Bates & Carey, LLP (November 1999 to March 2011).
Ann’s professional memberships include the Ohio State Bar Association, the OSBA Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section, the Michigan State Bar Association, the Toledo Bar Association and the Toledo Estate Planning Council. Ann is a current member of Young Presidents’ Organization and a past member and moderator of an Affinity Group of the University of Toledo Center for Family and Privately-Held Businesses, both of which provide forums for business leadership development and problem solving among business executives and owners. Ann’s community involvement includes serving on the Boards of the National Museum of the Great Lakes (May 2023 to date), ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital (January 2018 to November 2023), and the Women’s Initiative of the United Way of Greater Toledo (January 2016 to June 2019), as well as serving on the Investment Committee of the Toledo Museum of Art (January 2022 to date) and the finance committee of the Toledo Estate Planning Council (December 2019 to December 2021).
Ann earned her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She moved to Toledo, Ohio after receiving a scholarship to attend the University of Toledo, College of Law, where she earned her law degree, cum laude, in 1999.
