Dr. Debra A. Ball is the Director of People and Talent at the Toledo Museum of Art, in this role she oversees all aspects of the people and talent function to celebrate and promote a culture of that attracts, empowers and rewards collaboration, connection, and accountability. In this role, Ball is steadfast in developing solutions for employees’ essential needs, to cultivate a stronger sense of purpose and more profound connections each day. At TMA, that purpose is predicated on how we behave towards each other, how our actions reflect our values and how our activities support our strategy.
Ball comes to TMA with more than 30 years of human resources leadership experience. Most recently, she served as SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer for Aspirus Health in Wisconsin, and was the regional vice president – strategic human resources partner for Bon Secours Mercy Health in Toledo, Ohio. Ball has also served in leadership roles at Cleveland Clinic’s Global Leadership & Learning Institute in Beachwood, Ohio; ProMedica Health Systems in Toledo, Ohio; St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio; and The Andersons Inc., an agribusiness headquartered in Maumee, Ohio.
Ball earned her Doctorate in Education from Bowling Green State University. She earned her Master of Science and Education in public health and her Bachelor of Science in political science/pre-law from the University of Toledo.
A Senior Certified Professional by the Society of Human Resources Management, Ball is actively involved in several professional associations and community organizations.
