Randy Oostra, DM, FACHE, is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of ProMedica, a not-for-profit, mission-based, integrated health and well-being organization headquartered in Toledo, Ohio. The $7 billion organization with 56,000 employees serves communities in 28 states. Mr. Oostra has 40 years of health care and management expertise, with 22 of those years spent at ProMedica, and is regarded as one of the nation’s top leaders in health care. Oostra is a visionary leader with a strong commitment to the healthcare industry and community, as demonstrated through his extensive involvement in numerous professional and civic organizations at the local, regional, and national levels. He serves on the board of trustees of the following organizations in northwest Ohio: Regional Growth Partnership, Toledo Museum of Art, ConnecToledo Downtown Development Corporation (past chair), and Toledo Symphony (past chair). Oostra is also a member of the Ohio and Michigan Hospital Associations and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a doctorate in management from Case Western Reserve University, a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota, a master’s degree in Management from the University of Wisconsin, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Northwestern College.
