Tanya Pattison is a Brian P. Kennedy Leadership Fellow at the Toledo Museum of Art. She received a dual BA in Art History and Anthropology from the University of Florida, Gainesville and holds an MA in Art History with a focus on Visual Cultures of the Americas from Florida State University, Tallahassee. Her research primarily concerns viceregal art of the Andes, particularly around perceptions of death and the complexity of visual and material culture in the colonial landscape. Prior to her position at the Toledo Museum of Art, she served as the Immersive Scholarship Graduate Assistant for Florida State University Libraries, where she worked cross-departmentally to implement digital technologies such as 3D modeling and photogrammetry. In this role she served as staff photographer for the archaeological site of Cetamura del Chianti in Gaiole Italy, where she documented and 3D modelled several finds from the 2024 field season. She is originally from Cocoa Beach, Florida.
