Join us in the Family Center for a special storytime with Ruth Carter Whittle, who will read the powerful children’s book The School Is Not White. Inspired by her own childhood, the book follows her family’s experience as the first Black family to attend an all‑white school in Mississippi — told in a way that is accessible, heartfelt, and inspiring for young readers.
This program is designed especially for children in grades K–6, but visitors of all ages are welcome to attend and participate. No registration is required — just drop in to listen, learn, and explore a true story of courage and resilience.
