Momentum 2024

Overview

Join The Arts Commission for Momentum 2024 on September 20-22! This year's festival will be on N. Superior St, between Madison Ave. and Adams St., with both indoor and outdoor spaces to explore. The arts and culture festival will utilize Toledo's fabric and architecture to create a sense of density, focus, and intimacy.

The Local Artist Exhibition will provide venues for shared experience and connection for our local artists. Anchor Art - large scale, interactive, and spectacle artworks - will be placed throughout the event to encourage moments of discovery for attendees. The Momentum | Intersection glass exhibition will open Wednesday, September 18th at the Toledo Museum of Art’s Glass Pavilion. An Artist Market will be set up Saturday & Sunday with work available for purchase from local sellers. Performances of all types and a Film Showcase will happen throughout the weekend.

Momentum | Intersection

The story of Momentum is a celebration of community and the arts in Toledo. Nothing is a truer embodiment of this story than the Momentum | Intersection Exhibition. Started in 2018, a year after the festival's inaugural season, Intersection is an exhibit of glass art like no other.

Intersection is a program that connects artists, designers, and industry professionals at Pilkington Glass North America for collaboration and development of new, innovative artworks. Inspired by the studio glass movement, The Arts Commission provides opportunities which connect applications of glass as an artistic medium with glass manufacturing processes.
